LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 3: The Mummy

The Mummy is exclusive to set 8803, The Collectible Minifigure Series 3.
Minifigure Parts and Accessories
The Mummy is composed of three main parts: head, torso, and legs.

The head is a new mummy print on white. The facial print appears to be green with eyes and mouth exposed.

The torso, arms, and hands are all white. The torso print resembles tattered mummy wrappings. There's even print on the arms. This is one of the first collectible minifigures to have print on the back of the torso.

The legs and hips are white with the tattered wrap print. The wrap print extends around the outside of the legs.

The accessory that comes with this figure is a dark red scorpion. This is a new color for this part.

LEGO.com Bio
“Zappo!”

The Mummy’s favorite thing to do is put ancient mummy curses on people. He just loves it when you wake up with slimy frogs in your bed, or suddenly find your shoelaces tied together, or have your toast always fall on the floor with the butter-side down.

But the Mummy doesn’t really mean any harm, and he’d be surprised if he ever found out that people thought he was being mean to them. As far as he knows, putting curses on people is just what mummies are supposed to do!

Army Building Potential
The ABP for the figure is moderate to low. Armies of this style of mummy would compliment the new LEGO Pharaoh's Quest nicely; however, with those same sets coming out with economically priced minifigure packs, do these guys lose their luster?

Feeling It Out
The scorpion is the only unique element you can feel for, but it may be difficult to identify.

Bar Codes
Unlike previous series of collectible minifigures, there will be no secondary bar codes to help determine what figure is inside. However, there are a series of 'bumps' on the bottom of the packages that can be used to identify the contents (LEGO Series 3 Collectible Minifigure Codes). These codes were provided courtesy of FBTB.net and Rick Theroux.

The Big Draw
Hard to say. I don't think the dark red scorpions will generate much excitement. Also, another mummy design following the Pharaoh's Quest launch, albeit a new design, may not garner much attention.
