LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 3: The Samurai Warrior

The Samurai Warrior is exclusive to set 8803, The Collectible Minifigure Series 3.

Minifigure Parts and Accessories
The Samurai Warrior is composed of five main parts: helmet, head, torso, armor, and legs.

The helmet appears to be a dark gray variant of part x63 which hasn't been available since 2002.

The head print is new with mustache, 'soul patch', thin beard, and a serious expression.

The torso and arms are reddish-brown with black hands. The torso print is similar to previous Ninja designs but with floral touches and a gold belt. There is no print on the back of the torso.

The body armor is a dark gray version of part 30174. It has a built in pauldron covering the shoulders. There's also a small cutout near to the top of the armor which shows the print underneath.

The legs and hips are reddish brown. The print begins on the hips and extend to the legs, resembling some sort of gray metallic 'skirt'.

The accessory that comes with this figure is a katana, a dark gray variant of part 30173. The guard of the sword hilt is octagonal in shape.

LEGO.com Bio
“A sword is only as strong as the heart that wields it.”

The Samurai Warrior is a legendary champion, famous for both his skill with the sword and his deep sense of honor. He will never break a promise or refuse to help a stranger in need, and the only reward he ever accepts for his noble deeds is a nice cup of hot tea afterwards.

The Samurai Warrior’s only problem is that he’s so extremely serious all the time. You can try telling him a joke, showing him a funny picture or even tickling him, but he’ll never even crack a smile. It’s rumored that he once laughed at one of the Circus Clown’s gags, but if you ask him, he’ll absolutely deny it!

Army Building Potential
The ABP for the figure is high - a few head changes and you have the makings of a minfig shogunate. This figure along with The Fantasy Elf are likely to have the highest ABP for this series.

Feeling It Out
The helmet and body armor are likely to the be the elements to feel for here.

Bar Codes
Unlike previous series of collectible minifigures, there will be no secondary bar codes to help determine what figure is inside. However, there are a series of 'bumps' on the bottom of the packages that can be used to identify the contents (LEGO Series 3 Collectible Minifigure Codes). These codes were provided courtesy of FBTB.net and Rick Theroux.

The Big Draw
The entire figure is a huge draw in and of itself - from the helmet and armor to the head torso and legs prints.
