LEGO Series 3 Collectible Minifigure Codes Cracked

Never underestimate the power of AFOLs. 'that guy' over on FBTB has found the system that is being used to identify what's in the Series 3 Collectible Minifigures blind bags. It would appear that instead of a secondary bar code, there are a series of 'bumps' along the bottom of the packs that denote what figure is inside. You can see these on my Flickr favorites, as well as FBTB.net and other sites. The black dots are added to show the location of the dots.

So it does appear there is a system for identifying the figs after all. This also means that the systems may change, but TLG must need a way to ID these figures for inventory purposes.

The system of bumps may only apply for North America, but we won't know until the Europe packs can confirm a similar system. Now that we know the code, it will only be a matter of time until fancy pdf's will be available on the the interwebs.
