LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 3: The Fantasy Elf

The Fantasy Elf is exclusive to set 8803, The Collectible Minifigure Series 3.

Minifigure Parts and Accessories
The Fantasy Elf  is composed of five main parts: hair piece, head, torso, legs, and cape.

The hair piece is tan with yellow ears sculpted into the sides. The hair 'duck tails' in the back.

The head print is new with a 'stern' look and high cheek bones.

The torso is dark green with sand green arms and yellow hands. There is print on the torso to resemble armor, a portion of the cape, and cape clasp. There is no print on the back of the torso.

The legs and hips are brown with print to continue the armor print and suggest leather boots on the lower legs and feet. The print does not extend around the sides or back of the legs.

The figure also features a standard LEGO cape in dark green.

The accessories that come with this figure are a new version of the LEGO bow and oval shield. The bow is a long bow design with curved ends.

The shield print features yellow/gold trim around the edge, some white highlights, and deer/stag's skull against a field of dark green.

Army Building Potential
The ABP for the figure is high - this is the first time a LEGO elf has been available for purists. There has been quite a bit interest in a fantasy theme like Lord of The Rings. This would bring us one step closer to making that a reality.

Feeling It Out
The shield and bow would be the items to try and feel through the bag. The bow might also be worthwhile to seek out exclusively, as there are no other accessories similar to it in this series.

Bar Codes
Unlike previous series of collectible minifigures, there will be no secondary bar codes to help determine what figure is inside. However, there are a series of 'bumps' on the bottom of the packages that can be used to identify the contents (LEGO Series 3 Collectible Minifigure Codes). These codes were provided courtesy of FBTB.net and Rick Theroux.

The Big Draw
The torso, hip and leg assembly, and shield are the items collectors are likely to seek out. Given the pointed ears on the hair piece, it too could be desirable...so pretty much the whole thing. This figure has the potential to be highly sought after in much the same way The Spartan was in Series 2.
