I don't know why, but when I saw this photo by Jan Twardowski (MorderczyGroszek) it just really struck me. It looks like that missile might strike me from that perspective too!
The smoke trail is made of a series of interconnected skeleton arms, which must give it enough structure to hold it up, but allow it to take on that curved trajectory. Combine it with the camera angle, and you have a fantastic photo!
