LEGO Star Wars Minifigures: Cad Bane

LEGO Star Wars Cad BaneNow Showing
Cad Bane, Durosian bounty hunter, is currently exclusive to set 8098, Clone Turbo Tank. He is also slated to appear in set 8128, Cad Bane's Speeder; however, full details have not been revealed and that figure may be a different variant.

Minifigure Parts and Accessories
Cad Bane is composed of five parts: his unique, broad rim hat, blue head, cybernetic breathing tubes, torso, and legs.

The blue head is unique to minifigures with only two others that I could find via BrickLink, parts 3626bpx79 and 3626pbp097.

LEGO Star Wars Cad Bane Back ShotThe breathing tubes are unique to this figure, not a recycled part from previous sets.

The torso also appears to have custom print, while the legs are a solid color with no print at all.

Although LEGO could have recycled the fedora hat, its scale relative to the head of the minifigure would not have been right. Instead they offer up this new, broad rimmed hat that is more appropriate.

Star Wars Clone Wars Cad Bane with BlastersCad sports two blaster in the style of part 58247. Its interesting that LEGO decided to have the blasters colored black, as several pictures from the TV series make them appear metallic/gold in color.

Army Building Potential
The ABP for Cad overall is "low" to "moderate". Unlike the troopers, collectors are not likely to want this figure in multiples; however, individual parts like the hat and breather may be desirable. Also add the cost of Clone Turbo Tank to the mix (~$120 USD) and he's likely to be an expensive figure initially. Now, the Cad Bane's Speeder set is likely to be at a lower price point when it's released, so this could bump the potential slightly. There's always the chance of a future magnet set too...

Big Draw
Cad Bane has been one of the more popular characters to come out of the Clone Wars saga. With an air similar to Boba Fett, Bane could be a sought after fig in the absolute. Parts-wise, however, I would say the breather and hat would be desirable for custom minifig efforts.
