I found this interesting...Akihabara News reports that the Series 1 Collectible Minifigures will be available in Japan through vending machines. Those who have some familiarity with Japanese culture won't find this terribly surprising, as you can get just about anything in Japan from vending machine these days.
The figures are expected to retail at 300 yen, but no word on if they figs will be in polybag packaging or "capsules". One thing is for certain, there will be no determining which figure you might get in advance. It's all completely random!
