Collectible Minifigures Series 1: The Cheerleader

Minifigure Parts and Accessories
The Cheerleader is made up of four primary parts: a new, blond version of part 62696, a torso with the letter 'M' in a tank-top design, white legs, and a head. She has two pom-pom accessories and the standard (albeit new) minifigure stand. The pom-poms are a new accessory, not previously released. The same can be said for a cheerleader themed minifigure, unless there was one I missed from the sports line.

Sport's MOCs would obviously benefit from the addition of the new accessories, and hair-pieces could be traded out to add variety to your LEGO Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader squad. The poms are attached via posts to the hands, opening up some potential for LEGO builders.

Army Building Potential
The "army building potential" or "ABP" for this figure is moderate. Some quick hairstyle changes and/custom decals and you have an instant squad.

Feeling It Out
I don't see how the polybags could disguise the pom-poms well, so if you specifically wanted this figure you could probably "feel it out".

Bar Codes
The following are the secondary bar codes that can be found on the back of each bag which indicates the figure inside. The bar code on the left is valid for the EU while the bar code on the right is valid for the US. These bar codes come courtesy of Brickset.com where a single pdf containing all bar codes can be found.

The Big Draw
Overall, this is a great figure with a lot to like. The total package is really the draw.

FBTB.net Poll Results
According to the poll currently on the FBTB.net forums, The Cheerleader is showing a strong performance and is on par with The Robot. As always, those who frequent AFOL forums may not be representative of the broader market.

Official LEGO.com Bio
“Gimmie an L! Gimmie an E! Gimmie a G! Gimmie an O! Yaaay!”

The Cheerleader is perpetually filled to bursting with energy, excitement and enthusiasm. She prefers cartwheels and handsprings to plain old ordinary walking, and she waves her pom-poms around wildly whenever she talks, which is pretty much all of the time.

The Cheerleader loves to cheer people on, no matter what they’re doing. Whether they’re changing a light bulb, building a wall or just crossing the street, she’s always there with a peppy cheerleading routine to encourage them to do their best and never give up. It can actually get kind of annoying sometimes, but her perpetual good mood and sunny smile are so contagious that it’s hard to really mind.
