Collectible Minifigures Series 1: The Circus Clown

Minifigure Parts and Accessories
The Circus Clown appears to be made of four parts: a large red hair-piece, torso with clown costume print, red and blue legs, and head with a clown face. His accessory is a bicycle horn. As always, the figure will come with the new minifigure stand.

A circus theme really hasn't been explored outside of the Duplo line. I could even see this figure added to compliment a circus train or big-top MOC for builders. Some have joked that the hair would be perfect for a Carrot Top custom minifigure. The accessory with this figure is a bicycle horn. As always The Clown will come with the new minifigure stand.

Army Building Potential
The "army building potential" or "ABP" for this figure is low. You could change out certain elements to get different clowns, but why?

Feeling It Out
This figure could likely be identified through the polybag easily by the hair, but might be mistaken for one of The Cheerleader's pom-poms. Assuming you don't want either, then you are safe.

Bar Codes
The following are the secondary bar codes that can be found on the back of each bag which indicates the figure inside. The bar code on the left is valid for the EU while the bar code on the right is valid for the US. These bar codes come courtesy of Brickset.com where a single pdf containing all bar codes can be found.

The Big Draw
The hair and horn accessory are likely the big draw here, and that's not saying much. I don't see this figure being much sought after, except to fill out a collection of all 16 minifigures.

FBTB.net Poll Results
According to the poll currently on the FBTB.net forums, The Clown is toward the back of the pack with figures like The Cowboy and The Forestman. As always, those who frequent AFOL forums may not be representative of the broader market.

Official LEGO.com Bio
“Honk honk!”

Everything in life is a joke to the mirthful, merry and mischievous Circus Clown. Whenever things get too dull, up he pops with a banana cream pie to toss, a bottle of seltzer to spray, or a honk of his horn to brighten your day. You can always count on him to appear with a funny gag at just the right moment to lighten the mood.

The Circus Clown is a master of physical comedy, and it’s a good thing, too – aside from a honk of his horn or his big red nose, he never makes a sound, even when doubled-over with laughter at his own silly antics!
