Today we are going to look at figure that hasn't seen LEGO sets in several years, "The Tribal Hunter".
Minifigure Parts
The Tribal Hunter is composed of six parts, plume feathers (part 472p01) that fit into the hairpiece (part 30114), a head with war-paint print, a brown quiver (part 4498), a torso and legs both with Native American print and designs. Minifigure ww016 may be the closest we've come to seeing this character before.
Accessories
The accessory is a brown bow and arrow set (part 4499). As always, the figure will come with the new minifigure stand.
Army Building Potential
The "army building potential" or "ABP" for this figure is moderate. Changing out hair pieces and or faces could lead to the formation of your own tribe, but customization options appear low.
Feeling It Out
This figure might be difficult to identify through the packaging with no obvious features or accessories that can be ID'd via touch. The bow and arrow might be an indicator, I could see this figure being confused with The Forestman given similar accessories and parts.
Bar Codes
The following are the secondary bar codes that can be found on the back of each bag which indicates the figure inside. The bar code on the left is valid for the EU while the bar code on the right is valid for the US. The Big Draw
The big draw here is having an update to a minifigure character that hasn't been available since 2002 in the Rapid River Village set.
FBTB.net Poll Standings
According to the poll currently on the FBTB.net forums, The Tribal Hunter is not faring well in the votes. As always, those who frequent AFOL forums may not be representative of the broader market, but it looks like these figures might be sought just to fill out a full series one collection.

The Tribal Hunter is a skilled, wise and noble tracker who is at one with the wilderness. He lives off the land, his only possessions a hand-made bow and quiver (though some say he also has an MP3 player hidden somewhere, and that he’s secretly a great dancer). There is no better hunter alive, but he does not hunt to eat – instead, he prefers to prove his skill in a most unusual way.
If an animal is famous for being difficult to sneak up on, you can bet that the Tribal Hunter can be found creeping silently toward it, his bare feet making not a sound on the dry autumn leaves, until he suddenly jumps out to surprise the unsuspecting creature with a friendly poke. Fortunately, he is also a very fast runner, because most of the time he ends up getting chased by something with very big teeth and a very short temper. But that’s all just part of being the best hunter around!
