Zach Macias and Mindgame Studios have a new brickfilm to share with the public called 'The Profession'. A recounting of a man and his 'different' career choices. A nice production all around.
There's a fight scene and some light 'gun play' for those concerned. It's definitely not Keshen's LEGO Black Ops, from a violence standpoint...
A little brick film fun for your Saturday evening. We have the third episode of the Adventures of Max series written by Greg Farshtey and animated by David Pagano. Enjoy!
Brick film auteur 'FilmyGuy' is celebrating his 10,000th YouTube subscriber with this montage of test shots from much of the work he's done. The short gives you a 'behind the scenes' look at what goes into some of the brick film effects and some shots that didn't make it into past films. Enjoy!
You have to see this heavy metal themed brick film from David Pagano and Matt Witham. Now get out there and build some LEGO in a highly aggressive manner...
Old Scratch has animated another 'brick video' this time set to Darren Hayman's 'Dream Train'. It's been a while since we had a film on, so I'm happy Old Scratch produced one we could actually show on the site (I'm lookin' at you LEGO Black Ops).
David Pangano has posted his next brickfilm for LEGO Toy Story 3 that was commissioned for LEGO.com.
I don't remember events in the film going quite this way (I'm joking, by the way), but enjoyable none the less.
While we're on the topic...can anyone tell me why Evil Dr. Porkchop's Ship was not made into set?! Come on LEGO, how about a UCS version somewhere down the road?
David Pagano created this LEGO Toy Story brickfilm for TLG earlier in the year, but they are now just appearing on his YouTube channel. David has always produced some great stop motion animation. Enjoy!
A nice little brickfilm to kill the time when the boss ain't lookin'. I really like the tagline for this film - 'If you're good at something, never do it for free'.
Bricks in Motion announced today that the 2011 contest will be Toy Tales of Yore. Entrants are asked to tell a story with a historical bent. Entries may be based on actual events, include historical settings, people, and/or events as central elements of the story.
You will have some time to create your entry as the contest deadline is July 17th, 2011. It seems like a lot, but given the amount of time that can go into a few seconds of a brickfilm, I wouldn't procrastinate.
Prizes from the contest include a license for Dragon Stop Motion software, 2010 Advent Sets, a USB microphone and a prize pack from BrickArms.
While you are debating what to base your next brickfilm on, you can check out Zach Macias' entry to the BiM Twenty-Four Hour challenge - Treasure Hunter. Enjoy!
I find that boredom can give birth to many interesting creations. The short-film by Aaron Bulger (Jargon) was a by product of such a phenomenon (hey, it says so in the title sequence). Just under a minute in length, it's a nice intro to a four part series. Some potentially great story ideas and interesting camera techniques. I look forward to seeing the rest of what Aaron has to offer.
SpastikChuwawa recounts the recent TSA debate in LEGO form. I'm certain many people have felt this way at some time. Don't worry, despite the screen grab above, the brick film is rated PG...
I'm not clear on how these animation challenges work on Bricks In Motion, but filmyguy and mobdeli have created these nice brick films depicting 'chopping down a tree' and a 'window jump', respectively. Given that these are 'challenges', I'm assuming this must be all hard and stuff. These folks make it look so easy!
OldScratch is back with this brick video for the group 'Printed Circuit'. I'm sure many can relate to the plight of the protagonist in the video, not to mention some great LEGO animation. Enjoy!
Many may have seen the teaser for this mini-movie on the LEGO.com website. The Bombad Bounty is a comedic story of how Darth Vader puts a bounty on Jar Jar after the Gungan ruins his spectacular entrance. The movie is rendered (i.e. computer generated) and not a true brick film, but a fun romp through the original trilogy none the less. Nicely done TLG.
Not one, not two, but three new brick films from Keshen, SpastikChuwawa, and filmyguy, respectively. All three are suitable for all age viewers...I think (personal sensibilities may vary). Enjoy!
