They call me 'Pants'...Agent Igotpants

The site was seriously lacking in Karf Oohlu creations of late, but Karf gave me the perfect reason to fix that...

I absolutely love the mileage he's been able to get out of the LEGO flashlight figure. The cell phone and 'fuzzy pants' are a nice touch.

You can see more of Karf's creations on his Flickr stream.

New LEGO Star Wars Alarm Clocks

You may recall a few weeks back, a Stormtrooper and Darth Vader minifig alarm clock debuting on the scene. It seems that FBTB forum member Tim Steff has found two new variants of these clocks featuring the large-and-in-charge likeness of Yoda and Anakin Skywalker.

It's only a matter of time until Karf Oohlu finds a way to corrupt these 'maxifigs' in a new and unusual way.

These gems were found in a WalMart in Kentucky (my neck of the woods...so to speak) retailing for $19.97 USD.

Check out the full entry on the FBTB forums.

Karf Oohlu's Ivor Terribletemperski

Karf Oohlu has managed to get his hands on a LEGO minifigure keychain flashlight. No sooner than having the chain removed from his head, it manages to get in a fight with the Greedo Triplets.

Seeing a minifig at this larger scale still gives me hope that LEGO might adopt a maxi-fig format at some point in the future.

Karf Oohlu's Robo-Zombies Attack!

I have to say that the best part to come out of the Series 1 Collectible Minifigures was The Robot head, hands down. Place that head on any of the other collectible minifigures, and suddenly it's pure awesomeness. It's almost a shame that they put that helmet over such a great print.

I don't know if Karf Oohlu would agree, but his "Robo-Zombie" vignette just helps me to prove my point. Poor electronic bastards never saw it comin'...

Nurse Kelly Loves a Good Game of Darts

Karf Oohlu is back with another Collectible Minifigure vignette. This time featuring "Nurse Kelly"...

"After twenty years of over-worked, under-paid, unappreciated service, nurse Kelly had become a little blasé in her attitude to work."

If you read through some of the comments on Flickr, you'll see that Nancy had another version of this game...with scalpels! Ouch.

The Deep Sea Diver Gets Wrapped Up In His Work

Earlier in the week I shared a few mini-vignettes put out by TLG for the Series 1 Collectible Minifigures.

Although not part of that original set, this vignette by Karf Oohlu could easily have fallen in with that collection.

When You Need a Brain Out in a Hurry

Karf Oohlu has a new vignette on his Flickr stream depicting Dr. Toth and his assistant I-GOR helping to relieve some poor soul of his troubled mind.

The doctor's chair incorporates some of the accessories from the recent Prince of Persia sets.

Other mentionables include the use of Agents villain Break Jaw in the role of I-GOR, and what appears to be a BrickTW cape on the good doctor.

As always it wouldn't be a Karf creation without an healthy injection of humor directly into the brain stem...

"...THOTH! THOTH!...I thought it said TOOTH...wondered why the dental chair looked so odddnnNNNOOO!!!..."

Karf Oohlu's Got Character(s)

Keith Goldman has been conducting a series of interviews with prominent AFOL builders over on The Brothers Brick. On Monday he talked with Fedde (aka Karf Oohlu) about his process and his creations.

This prompted me to checkout Fedde's Flickr stream where I found these albums dedicated to custom 'characters'. While not all of them would qualify as minifigures, the fig is featured in many ways. My favorite was this custom mer-man warrior combining elements of Harry Potter, Castle, and Atlantis. A cool little stand to boot. Based on what I've seen, don't be surprised if Karf Oohlu makes the occasional appearance here.
