50% Off Series 3 Collectible Minifigs at Target (US)

Toys N Bricks is reporting that Target has their collection of Series 3 Collectible Minifigures at 50% off in-store. Although stocks may have been picked through, this could be a good way to at least get a few figs at a decent price.

You can see the full story at Toys N Bricks.

ABP Alert - K-Mart and Target Clearance Sales

Toys N Bricks is reporting on some great deals at K-Mart and Target stores. K-Mart seems to be the most impressive, if true. It seems that several select sets are marked at $3.00 USD, which amount to significant savings.

Target's select deals amount to 50% off, which is nothing to sneeze at. You can also hit the Valentines Day aisle and see if the Series 3 Collectible Minifigures are on sale.

It sounds like the key at both stores is to find a 'price checker' scanner that are placed throughout the store. Check the item there, because it may not reflect these prices on the shelf.

You can check out the full list of deals on Toys N Bricks.

UPDATE: A quick trip to K-Mart and $3 later, I can confirm that the K-Mart deals were spot on. My store only had the Power Miners set, but now I finally have some silver PM armor and a rock monster!

Target didn't fare as well. I ran the Prince of Persia 'Battle of Almut' at the aisle scanner and...full listed price. Perhaps others had more luck than I but it looks like this one might be 'busted'. As we say in statistics, this is only an 'N' of one, so check your store just in case.

I did see a nice space for the Series 3 Collectible Minifigures in the Valentines aisle, so they are indeed coming. No other slots were seen for the three new polybags that Brickset unearthed, however.

Series 3 Alert - Target Valentines Day Seasonal Asile

Tervlon gave me a shout to let me know that Target is starting to put out their Valentines Day seasonal items and Series 3 Collectible Minifigures seem to be part of the planogram.

I don't know which specific Target store this corresponds to, but according to Flickr master Tervlon is in Virginia (US). It would also seem that the days of $1.99 Collectible Minifigures in the US are over.

You can see more on Tervlon's Flickr stream.

Community Minifig Collection US Target Exclusive?

Apples dropped us a line to say that Target is showing a display for the Dacta Community Minifigure Collection, listing it as an exclusive. This may be why the US LEGO Shop at Home store didn't show it for sale, but other countries did. Still unconfirmed at this point, but an intriguing find. Thanks Apples!

That still leaves the Historical/Fairy Tale Minifig Collection up in the air. I was most excited by this one, so hopefully we will hear more about this soon!

LEGO Kingdoms Holiday Poly at Target (US)

Toys N Bricks shares news of a new impulse polybag at Target stores in the US. Set 30062, Target Practice, is retailing for $3.99 USD.

Although there's nothing terribly new in the set, there a great lion faction fig, helmet, crossbow, quiver, and two spears. Not a bad little parts pack!

Series 2 Minifigs Half Off at Target (US)

Now circulating the interwebs, the Series 2 Collectible Minifigures are half off at Target stores in the US...if you can get 'em. Target shelved these with their Halloween items, so as with the Tootsie Rolls and wax fangs, the Collectible Figures are half off too.

Do remember however that Target was selling these at $2.99, a dollar above MSRP. Still, Collectible figs for $1.49 are nothing to scoff at.

Series 2 Restocks at Target (US)

Matt contacted me earlier today to say that his local Target store in Indiana appeared to be restocking shelves with Series 2 Collectible Minifigures. It may be that Target was holding back inventory knowing the first wave would sell out quickly, or that TLG pulsed out stock to retailers. Either way, take a look in the Halloween impulse aisle next time you are there.

Matt did mention that Target has upped the price to $2.99 USD, which aligns with other news I've heard regarding other retailers in the US.

Thanks Matt!

Quick Hits: Series 2 at Target and Down Under

New news related to the Series 2 Collectible Minifigures.

Toys N Bricks is reporting that US Target stores are getting in the Series 2 Collectible Minifigures now. They appear to be in the seasonal Halloween section and not in the traditional toy aisle or at the registers. They are priced at the MSRP of $1.99, but no word on limits. I would check it out soon, as stores without limits are soon emptied.

The second item relates to our readers in Australia. Although I've not heard of major retailers receiving these yet, Bricks Down Under is reporting that there are two secondary market stores that have gotten them in, Just Bricks and Bricks to the World. These do feature mark-ups from MSRP, but if you really want to get on this round of Collectible Minifigures, then you might want to check them out.

More details can be found via the links below.

ABP Alert: LEGO Prince of Persia Clearance (US)

Toys N Bricks is reporting that both Wal-Mart and Target are conducting in-store clearances on select LEGO sets of 30% to 50% off original prices. One particular collection to be on the watch for are the LEGO Prince of Persia sets.

Prince of Persia (PoP) was well received by the AFOL community, but due to a lackluster box office in the US (although I heard it did quite well overseas) we may see some deep discounts leading up to the holidays.

Sets like 7569, Desert Attack, and 7570, Ostrich Race, had some great minifig parts, weapons, and animals ready for customization. These sets were already affordable, but with these additional discounts, there may be real 'army building potential' here.

You may want to call your local store to see if they still have items in stock and how low the discounts are in your area before venturing out.

You can also see the other sets being discounted by clicking through the link below.

(UPDATE 8/20: I personally went to my local Target and Wal-Mart last night, but didn't see any LEGO PoP on clearance. There were several LEGO Star Wars items on sale at Target, however. My Wal-Mart appeared to be re-setting their planograms and there were LEGO items on clearance. You'll have to hunt them out - the items I found were in the Lawn & Garden area!)

Hi-Res Pics of Cad Bane's Speeder Minifigs

LEGO Star Wars Cad Bane's Speeder MinifiguresWebsite Toys N Bricks gives us the first hi-res pics of set 8128, Cad Bane's Speeder. I'm predicting that this set will be a highly sought after item given the number and quality of minifigures combined with a lower price point (at least compared with the Clone Turbo Tank).

Although this will be the second set to include Bane, this will be the first time featuring Shahan Alama and a Senate Commando Captain in the LEGO Star Wars universe. Even the regular Senate Commando will be desirable, given it has only appeared in the pricey Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (set 8039).

The article states that the set will be a Target exclusive with a $49.99 price point. The picture itself appeared on the Target.com website. Does that mean a US launch of Summer Star Wars sets is not far off?
